3. Operation

Note: In delivery condition the cylinder can be opened by every finger or RFID-medium. Only after teaching in an administrator finger, triggering an opening action is limited to authorised fingers or RFID-media.

Note: Before the fingerprint sensor can be used, the power button has to be pressed.

Note: The menu can be exited by choosing the last menu option "Exit".

3.1 Add administrator finger

• To access the menu press the power button when the cylinder is in an inactive state until you see the message “Press 5S Sys Config”. Hold the button for another 5 seconds until the message changes to “Add: Admin FP”.
• Wait for about 5 seconds until the message "Adding FP Accepting FP" appears.
• Put your finger on the fingerprint sensor for five  times.

Info: There can be up to 3 administrator fingers at the same time. All following fingers after the first administrator finger, have to be acknowledged by the first one.

Note: If you added an administrator finger, you have to place the administrator finger on the fingerprint sensor when entering the menu as soon as "Please Auth" appears on the display.

3.2 Add user finger

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button one time or until “Add: User FP” is shown. Wait for about 5 seconds.
• Place administrator finger on the sensor.
• Put the user finger on the fingerprint sensor for five times.

3.3 Delete fingerprint

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button two times or until “Delete: Fingerprint” is shown. Wait for about 5 seconds until "Accepting FP" is shown.
• Place the finger you want to delete on the sensor.

3.4 Delete all administrator fingers

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button three times or until “Clear ALL Admin FPs” is shown. Wait for about 5 seconds until "Please Auth" appears.
• Place administrator finger on the sensor.

3.5 Delete all user fingers

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button four times or until “Clear ALL User FPs” is shown. Wait for about 5 seconds until "Please Auth" appears.
• Place administrator finger on the sensor.

3.6 Add RFID - medium

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button five times or until “Add: IC Card” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds until "Adding Card" is shown on the display.
• Place the RFID-medium over the fingerprint-sensor within 10 seconds. The cylinder gives an acoustic feedback when the medium is added. After that you can add the next medium the next 10 seconds.
• If there are no more media to add just wait a few seconds until the adding process automatically stops.

Info: There can be up to 20 RFID-media at the same time.

3.7 Delete RFID - medium

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button six times or until “Delete: IC Card” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds until "Delete Card?" is shown on the display.
• Place the RFID-medium over the fingerprint-sensor within 10 seconds. The cylinder gives an acoustic feedback when the medium is added. After that you can add the next medium the next 10 seconds.

3.8 Delete all RFID - media

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press power button seven times or until “Clear ALL IC Cards” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.
• Place administrator finger on the sensor when "Please Auth" is shown.

3.9 Add remote controller

• This function is not supported for this model. Please do not use this option!

3.10 Clear remote controllers

• This function is not supported for this model. Please do not use this option!

3.11 Language settings

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button ten times or until Chinese text is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.

3.12 Lock Time settings

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button eleven times or until “Set: Lock Time” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.
• Press power button to alter the lock time in 1-second increments.
• After you have set to the desired time wait for a few seconds.

Note: You can set the time to a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 14 seconds.

Info: In delivery condition, the lock time is configured to 10 seconds.

3.13 Turn onf/off Bluetooth

• This feature is not supported due to security reasons. Please do not use this option.

3.14 Turn on/off Sound

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button thirteen times or until “Turn on/off Sound" is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.
• The sound is now enabled/disabled

3.5 Reset cylinder to delivery condition

• To access the menu follow the directions described in Step 1.
• Press the power button fourteen times or until “Reset” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.
• When "Please Auth" is shown on the display, place administrator finger on the sensor to confirm reset.

Note: All previously added RFID-media, administrator- and user fingers have been deleted now.

3.16 Firmware und Hardware

• Press the power button twelve times or until “PCBA Version Sys Version” is shown and wait for about 5 seconds.

3. Assembly

1. Step - Check the content

• 1 x Fingerprint-cylinder
• 2 x Allen key 
• 3 x AAA batteries

2. Step - Remove the metal sleeve of the outside of the cylinder (=Side with the fingerprint sensor)

Unscrew the small screw with the enclosed screwdriver and remove the metal sleeve cautiously.

3. Step - Remove the battery cover

You can now remove the black battery cover by gently pressing down the cover and pulling it in the direction the arrow points.

4. Step - Adjust the length of the cylinder

Depending on the required cylinder length you can adjust the exterior length by loosening the screw with the screwdriver and then pulling out the fingerprint-handle upon need. A complete removal of the knob is NOT possible.

5. Step - Remove the knob on the inside

Now you can adjust the cylinder length on the other side (the inside) as well upon need. Loosen the screw with the screwdriver and remove the knob completely. This is necessary for the installation at the door.

6. Step - Installation at the door

Before you can start with the installation you need to remove the old cylinder. To do so remove the screw inside the red circle (as shown in the first picture below). After doing so you’re able to pull out the old cylinder (as seen in the pictures beneath).

Now you can push the FLEX fingerprint cylinder through the lock, from the outside to the inside. Pay attention that the fingerprint handle is on the outside of the door. When the cylinder is attached to the door you need to screw down the cylinder as shown in the 2 pictures below.

7. Step - Attach the cylinder on the outside

Now you can fix the cylinder. Adjust the length with the screwdriver and tighten the screw afterwards. Insert the three AAA batteries, put on the battery cover, attach the metal sleeve and screw in the small screw to fix the sleeve.

8. Step - Attach the cylinder on the inside

Put on the metal knob on the pole and fix the screw with the screwdriver.
