5. Installation / Wiring
5.1 Surface-Mounted Box Installation (optional)
5.1.1 Scope of Delivery
The scope of delivery includes:
- Front panel with recess for the SOREX smart Unilock 2.0
- Black rear panel with recess (black)
- Sealing frame (white)
- Cable seal (white)
5.1.2 Installation
- Step: Feed the connecting cable of the SOREX smart Unilock 2.0 through the wall
- Step: Plug the inner part of the cable into the Unilock indoor unit.
- Step: Place the cable seal onto the recess of the rear panel. For this, a recess for the cable must be cut out at the bottom in the middle area of the cable seal.
- Step: Now feed the connecting cable through the recess in the cable seal and through the opening in the front panel. The recess in the seal should then be securely sealed again with silicone.
- Step: Stretch the sealing frame over the rear panel.
- Step: Plug the cable into the Unilock outdoor unit. Test the device and wiring again before completing the installation.
- Step: Fasten the rear panel to the wall with four suitable screws. We recommend sealing the screw holes with silicone.
- Step: Place the front panel onto the rear panel.
- Step: Attach the SOREX smart Unilock 2.0 to the front panel using the adhesive strip.
- Step: Additionally, you should seal the SOREX smart Unilock 2.0 around the glass panel with a silicone bead.
5.2 Flush-Mounted Box Installation (optional)
Note: For masonry installation of the Unilock flush-mounted box, we additionally recommend the flush-mounted installation box E2 (2892 00).

5.3 Installation Without Surface- or Flush-Mounted Box
- First, mill the hole at the installation point in the masonry or door leaf.
- Then thread the cable through the milled hole.
- Afterwards, you can connect the cable to the Unilock outdoor unit.
- Indoors, connect the other end of the connecting cable to the Unilock indoor unit.
- Make sure that the indoor unit is never accessible from outside (e.g. by pulling out the cables).
5.4 Wiring Relay (Indoor Unit) with Door Opener
You can now wire the indoor unit (relay) with the door opener and the power supply.
WARNING: Be sure to perform an electrical test now and check whether the device is operational. Check whether the Unilock is powered and perform a test opening. Check whether the door opener releases.
Note: If the device is in factory condition, you can enter the numeric code “123456” on the keypad and confirm with the “tick” to perform a test opening.
This master code allows you to check the general functionality of the Unilock.
5.4.1 Additional Wiring Options (Motor Locks)
5.5 Completing the Installation
If the previous tests were successful, you can now complete the installation.
To do this, remove the protective film from the adhesive strip on the Unilock and stick it to the installation point.
Also check carefully after sticking the Unilock whether the adhesion is watertight.
You can test this by gently running water over the device. Then check whether water has penetrated behind the device. If this is the case, press the device firmly against the installation point again and then allow the adhesive some time before performing a new water test.
If water also penetrates behind the device during a repeated water test, you can additionally apply a silicone bead around the glass panel.
6. Reset to Factory Settings
You can reset the SOREX smart Unilock 2.0 in the following two ways:
- Delete the Unilock from the app (select Unilock -> Settings -> “Delete”). You must be within range of the device to do this.
or
- Press the reset button on the indoor unit for approx. 3 seconds or until two signal tones are played quickly one after the other.
7. Smartphone App
The SOREX smart Unilock 2.0 is managed and controlled with our app SOREX Smart Lock.
Search for the SOREX Smart Lock app in the Google Play Store or Apple Store and install it.
